What’s Going On
We have another great Sessions From The Edge interview in store for the week with our guest Vic Cherikoff who is the pioneer of the wild foods movement here in Australia. I enjoyed the interview chat so much we continued on into the night afterwards, taking it offline for another two hours.
Across the ecosystem things are ramping up as we change seasons. In the global North you’re heading into fall and here in the South Spring is Sprung.
I’ve got some really exciting news to share in the tech side of things with Fama Concordia. I’m so pleased to announce we have finished developing and testing the Formula For Life mobile app and have submitted it for approval through Google and Apple’s app stores, so watch this space for a launch later in September as we start introducing you to taking Fama Concordia on the go.
On an external front, we are setting up the Formula For life Alignment Campus in preparation as a sponsor of the Womens Wellness Festival, here in Australia in October where we will be providing free access to Fama Concordia and the Alignment Campus for the duration of the festival.
Wild Foods and 60,000 Years of Indigenous Wisdom
When a chronic diagnosis lands, the modern medical system immediately demands addition. In most cases it means more protocols, more pills, and of course, more complex schedules to manage.
Yet, as Titans, part of reclaiming our agency isn’t about adding endless modern complexity. It is about reintroducing what modern life stripped away.
In a recent Sessions from the Edge conversation, I sat down with Vic Cherikoff, author, entrepreneur, and pioneer in wild food science, to explore how wild biology and ancient nutrition can help shift us from chronic fatigue back into Dynamic Harmony.
What I found as we dove deeper into the conversation was that our modern food system is “cooked”, soils are depleted, modern agricultural practices have altered DNA and our relationship with food and natural ingredients has become disconnected.
1. The Depletion of the Modern Plate
Modern agricultural methods prioritise visual symmetry, shelf-life, and yield over biological complexity. When we mollycoddle plants with continuous irrigation, artificial fertilisers, and chemical sprays, we destroy their natural defence mechanisms.
In wild ecosystems, a plant must fight off environmental stressors, pests, and harsh weather. It does this by manufacturing complex defensive compounds such as antioxidants, bioflavonoids, bitters, and dense organic resins. When we eat wild biology, we absorb those protective strategies.
“If you mollycoddle the plants by growing them hydroponically in the ground, as I call it, you ruin the quality. For vitamin C to work most effectively, you don’t just want isolated ascorbic acid; you need an entire ecosystem of support components.”
Vic Cherikoff
2. Dynamic Synergy vs. Isolated Molecules
Western medicine and commercial supplement industries operate on a fragment model: isolate a single active molecule, patent it, and sell it in high doses. But your body is an interconnected system, not a chemical test tube.
True biological alignment requires the complete biochemical matrix:
Synergistic Co-factors: Wild nutrients come bundled with iron, copper, zinc, selenium, and vitamin K2, which act as biological keys allowing your cells to actually utilise nutrients.
Rogue-Cell Defence: Unique wild resins, such as those found in specific arid-zone acacias demonstrate selective cytotoxicity. They target compromised or mutated cells without harming normal tissues.
Microvascular Flow: Concentrated wild food complexes help prevent red blood cells from adhering to one another. By stopping “sticky” cell stacking, capillary circulation clears, allowing proper gas exchange, waste clearance, and nutrient delivery to tissues struggling under systemic strain.
3. Preserving Your Internal Vitality
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, your inherited baseline energy is called Jing. Chronic overwork, unmanaged mental stress, and degraded nutrition burn through Jing at an alarming rate.
When you incorporate wild elements, adaptogens, and complex whole foods into your protocol, you slow the friction on your internal engine. Unique natural sugars like trehalose, which is found in desert biology, help protect cellular structures, proteins, and telomeres from desiccation and premature recycling.
Reclaiming your vitality is not about discovering a miracle cure. It is about reducing biological friction so your natural defences can operate effectively.
4. Practical Micro-Steps for the Titan
You do not need to move into the wilderness to benefit from wild food science. You can start aligning your physical inputs today with small, deliberate choices:
Trade Fragments for Whole Arrays: Shift away from synthetic isolated vitamin powders toward whole-food concentrates, wild berries, and unrefined dark greens rich in native bioflavonoids.
Reintroduce Bitters and Resins: Modern diets have systematically bred out bitter flavours in favour of sweetness. Reintroduce bitter herbs, native spices, and dark plant pigments to stimulate digestive and liver pathways.
Respect the Micro-Rhythm: Pay attention to how your body responds 30 to 40 minutes after eating. Look for signs of clear mental focus and light physical energy, rather than brain fog or heavy systemic inflammation.
Fama’s Sidebar
Your diagnosis is an invitation to re-examine the fuel powering your recovery.
You are not a passive patient waiting for a chemical quick-fix; you are a Titan gathering the finest biological tools available to rebuild your strength. Step back into dynamic balance, trust the intelligence of living ecosystems, and take your next intentional step forward.
